Perhaps most curious of Astro Boy is the time taken to find their way to the big screen. A popular Japanese manga series its debut in the '50s, which generated the anime series ever first in 1963 and two more iterations of television. Although it has not dented the geek culture in far western of the darker minded Akira and Ghost in the Shell, there is a strong and attractive idea wish fulfillment at its core: a child dies and is reborn as a robot with the power to avert the forces of evil.

Flushed Away director Dave Bowers directs this adaptation with results generally unspectacular. Astro Boy never find an interesting angle in its concept and finished strongly encouraged as a matter of second level. The story is about a high-flying schoolboy Toby (Highmore) to be vaporized in an accident and brought artificially by his father scientist Dr. Tenma (Cage). Using a chain of hair Toby replicate its DNA and a booming energy source Blue Core, Toby is revived as Astro – a robot that Preserve your memories old and is blessed with super strength and flying ability. The android head is rejected by his father, and soon fell out of the floating city of Metro to live acreage in the waste of the Earth with other outcasts.

As with most animated adventures of Children, Astro Boy is stuck to the line of trust slamming mix show (of which there are some messages too) and positive about the fit and find their place. There are also some WALL-ness in their perspective environment, but falls in the background as the frantic action takes precedence. One of the main axes of the film narrative – Astro seeking a father figure – it is very wrong. Hamegg slippery Nathan Lane's (quite in the mold of Ron Moody's Fagin) provides parental support for the Astro left on the surface before their "father" real " decides to make a turn or inexplicable and welcome him with open arms.

Of course, you'd think that the hiring of Nicolas Cage to the voice of scientific father Astro madman would have resulted in some fireworks nutjob. That is not the case of Cage out of his madness in the country and offers straight face dialogue.
