Muppet Beginnings

Many people are surprised to learn that the Muppets were created in the 1950s. Since then, each generation of children has been to enjoy the sheer magic that these lovable characters bring into our lives.

The most famous Muppet Kermit the Frog. She also stars Jim Henson's real first. His beginnings were quite different from the Kermit we know and love today. In recent decades, Kermit has evolved and found its way into the hearts of children and adults alike. Like Kermit the Frog, the Muppets have grown and evolved and remains an integral part of people's lives.

Most of today's adults remember fondly The Muppet Show, which was a variety show that features celebrities as guest stars. Not only see the show varieties, but we saw was going on behind the scenes in which Kermit and Scooter did everything possible to get the show on without hitch. These programs are being released on the DVD of The Muppet Show's. As adults, we can share our memories with our children, as Miss Piggy singing "Born to Be Wild" with Ozzy Osbourne!

The Muppets puppet transcended her stature and became animated and baby during the hit television show Saturday morning, The Muppet Babies. This also is a show that adults can recall. Of course, Miss Piggy was in love with Gustavo at the time, and Rowlf and was a prodigy the piano. Fozzie bad jokes and animals was wild! It was a show that children can easily relate.

Besides the variety show and cartoons, the Muppets have staged several different films since 1979. They have their own undeniable personalities that transcend television screens and film. This can be seen on video and DVD sales and all other goods made specifically for these unique characters.

The Muppets also led to the popular Fraggle Rock. This show was very different from all other programs and films that came before. While this program was about all about fun, but also taught valuable lessons from social life.

Rarely mentioned, but the cast of Sesame Street ones are to Muppets. Sesame Street is one of the television programs of longer duration and is transmitted over a hundred different countries. It has given rise to several famous people who have come to have their own products and films. Honestly, who has not heard of Elmo? Additionally, Sesame Street has been instrumental in teaching young children social and academic skills.

Unfortunately, Jim Henson died in 1990, his legacy lives on and is still growing. The Muppets have given to adults and children the opportunity to bond over their favorite characters, favorite programs and movies. Not only have these characters as an integral part of our lives, and will only continue to grow! The Muppets are here to stay!
